A Special Greeting
Skyline Church of Christ

The Skyline Church of Christ would like
to send our warmest greetings to you and
your family. We are excited to share with
you the news that we have relocated into
a newly constructed building. While the
Skyline congregation has been a part of
this community since 1937, for quite some
time it was our desire to provide a larger
and more convenient place for those who
wish to worship God “in spirit and in
truth.” (John 4:23-24) Through the
blessings of God this has now been
achieved.
As you are aware through the eyes of this nation’s media and through personal
experiences this world is full of perils, war, struggles, and evil people. In our lifetime,
we are sure to face obstacles, experience grief and tragedy, and become victims of
this cruel, temporary place. Jesus has told us plainly the condition of this world. In
John 7:7, Jesus tells us that, “The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I
testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.” While assuredly we can expect to face
the “evils” of this earth in our lifetime, we can find comfort in one of the greatest gifts
our Heavenly Father has given us…Christ’s church. We can find many comforting
passages concerning our Lord’s desire for the New Testament Church:
Jesus, speaking of His followers, said, "They are not of the world, just as I am not of
the world" (John 17:16).
Jesus said, "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one
another"(John 13:35).
(1 Thessalonians 5:11) “Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one
another, even as also ye do.” the Apostle Paul.
Luke tells us in Acts 2:44-47 the following about the New Testament Church:
● They prayed together.
● They studied the Scriptures together.
● They ate together.
● They gave their offerings together.
● They spread the Gospel together.
● They worshipped God together.
Assuredly, one reason our Heavenly Father gave us the Church was so we could find
great comfort in loving brothers and sisters. At the Skyline Church of Christ, it is our
desire to be a strong, sound, and loving congregation in the eyes of God. We would
like to invite you to visit the Skyline congregation. We would be honored to have you
to come and worship God with us. Also, if you desire, we would be happy to
complete a bible study with you. This study could take place in person or via mail,
whichever you would desire. Please contact us and we hope to see you soon.
